Letter From Recruitment Chair

Hey ladies!

My name is Lauren Robichaux and I am so excited to be Phi Mu’s Recruitment Director this year. I am from a small down the bayou town called Chauvin, Louisiana. I graduated from South Terrebonne High School in 2018 and am now a junior majoring in nursing.  Like most of you I did not know exactly what I was getting myself into when I signed up to go through recruitment. I could have never imagined the way that my life would look after I accepted my bid from Phi Mu two years ago.

Phi Mu has introduced me to girls who will be my lifelong friends. I have sisters who have laughed with me until I cried and cried with me on my worst days. From late night car rides, bachelor watch parties after chapter meetings, studying for tests in our favorite coffee house, concerts, watching sunsets, and the list could go on and on. Phi Mu has given me people to experience all of life’s little moments with. I have gained sisters who I will share memories and a bond with for the rest of my life.

As you get ready to start the formal recruitment process, I cannot promise you that your first year will look anything like mine. I can’t give you a picture of what this upcoming semester is going to look like or try to sell you on events that I can’t promise will happen. I can promise you that you will join a sisterhood that will be by you no matter if we can spend our time in person or not. I can promise you friendships, laughter, and bonds that will last longer than this pandemic will. I can’t wait to meet all of you and help welcome you into this sisterhood of ours!

Love in Our Bond,

Lauren Robichaux
